Considering that the renaissance was not only revolutionary but also partially religiously driven, Gutenberg's invention of the printing press and mass production of The Bible was very influential to everyone in Europe. Now  people could mass produce books that would take them months to write by hand. The printing press continues to influence contemporary artists by making it easy for them to make many prints in far less time. This invention made it possible to print images carved out of metal.
Photocopier art is similar to letter press in different ways. The thing it has most in common with letter press is its ability to duplicate many images in a short period of time. On the other hand, it could also be considered a lazy or "cutting corner" way to finish a piece.

rotogravure :  a process of printing in which paper or plastic is rolled through intaglio cylinders.

lithography: a printing process in which images made out of aluminum, zinc or lithographic stone are impressed onto paper.

Blind stamp: a embossed seal that has been pressed onto a print to distinguish the artist who made it.
